15/11/09- TNS 2 Reserves 2

After a morning of trying to balance both the first team and reserve team squads so that both could field teams of at least 11 players Leafield travelled to TNS with exactly that, including the absence of normal keeper Natalie Jones.  With TNS sitting top of the table unbeaten and Leafield bottom of the table with only one solitary win the performance that followed showed that there is actually very little between the two teams.
Leafield took the game to TNS playing some excellent football, Michelle McCormack put in an accomplished performance as deputy keeper- playing in almost a sweeper role.  Laura Sitch put Leafield ahead only for TNS to equalise with a header, Atra Deacon got Leafield's second and what seemed to be the winner until TNS equalised in stoppage time to reserve their unbeaten start and send Leafield home disappointed not to have taken all three points.
Another encouraging performance from the reserves who are finally starting to work hard for each other, but more importantly play some good passing football.
