Do you shop online?  Well, now you can help raise extra funds for Leafield Athletic Ladies Football Club at the same time, and it won't cost you a penny extra!

easyfundraising is a shopping directory listing some of your favourite online stores including Argos, Next, eBay, Debenhams, Vodafone, Toys R Us, HMV, Play.com and over 600 other top name stores. Whenever you shop with any one of them using the links provided on the easyfundraising site, you'll generate a free donation for us of up to 15% of the purchase price every time! It really is that simple!

It doesn't cost a penny more to shop and raise funds in this way - in fact you can even SAVE MONEY as many retailers give exclusive discounts, special offers and even 'e-vouchers' when you shop through the easyfundraising site.  All you have to remember is to access your favourite shopping site via this link rather than direct.  And while you're there, have a look at the Free Funds page. This
page lets you raise OVER £250 for us without spending a penny! The featured retailers will make free donations just for switching to their service, participating in free trials or even simply registering on their site!

For example, eBay offer a £4.50 donation when you register and place just one bid (it doesn't even have to be a winning bid!), while The National Lottery will pay us £2 just for registering on their site and playing Lotto online for the first time! LOVEFiLM offer a £5 donation when you sign up for a 14 day free trial of their dvd rental service

There are also several large insurance companies listed - if you're looking for car insurance and remember to log on via easyfundraising, some will donate as much as £45 to our club when you take out a new policy.

Changing your mobile phone?  Again there are large donations being offered - Vodafone, for instance,  will give us £45 if you sign up for a new pay monthly handset, or £20 for mobile broadband.

All you need to do is register for free at
http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/leafieldathleticladies and use easyfundraising every time you shop online, - just click on the link provided in the lefthand column on every page of our website.

If you know of another club or group that could benefit from this scheme, they can register their own cause by clicking on this linkLeafield Athletic will then receive an additional 20% of everything they raise for their own cause!

You can also raise funds for us every time you search the Web - with easysearch.

When you search with easysearch, you'll raise funds for us with every search you make! Make just 10 searches a day with easysearch instead of Google or any other search engine and you could raise around £20 a year - or more - for us. It's that easy!

Please set our unique easysearch page -
http://leafieldathleticladies.easysearch.org.uk - as your homepage and use it every time you search the Web.

Matchday Parking

posted 13 Jul 2010 14:47 by Paul Bickley

It has been brought to our attention that on certain Matchdays parked cars on Rumbush Lane have been causing problems for local traffic.
Whilst we are trying to improve the parking situation at the ground please observe the following.
  • Do not block access to the rear car park
  • Do not park across and block access to the grassed area behind the goal on pitch 1(Right hand side after entering the car park)
  • If the carpark is full and you have to park on Rumbush lane, dont park in one continous line.Allow a gap every 5-8 cars for passing traffic to use as a passing place.

As mentioned we are working on a solution to this and would appreciate your help.

Many thanks

Training will be starting shortly for most of the teams and maintenance works is still be done on both pitches. Whilst not wanting to spoil anyones fun could you please adhere to the following:
  • No casual play on Pitch 1 or Pitch 2 parents included.
  • Players please keep away from penalty areas and centre circles whilst training.
  • Specialist treatments have been applied to the pitch, ensure players wash their hands after leaving the pitches.
  • Coaches, please warm players up on the 2 grass areas off pitch where possible.
  • If training on Pitch 2 walk around the barriers and not over pitch 1
  • Have a great season everyone!

The above points will help the pitches recover quicker and ensure they are in better shape for the new season.

Many thanks Paul Bickley

World Cup Predictions League

posted 11 Jul 2010 14:54 by Mark Briggs

Congratulations to foggster who has won the World Cup Predictions League with 52 points and collects £70. He has lead from the start and managed to hold on to win by a single point from two other players. In second place was villabaz with 51 points who receives £40 despite not predicting 5 matches! Also on 51 points was beamish who claims the third prize of £25.

This was a closely contested league which came down to the final match where any of the top four players was still in a position to claim the first prize.

Many thanks for supporting Leafield Athletic and I hope you enjoyed taking part in the predictions league.

Electric breaker required

posted 15 Jun 2010 00:31 by Paul Bickley

Does anybody have access to an electric breaker? I need to release the concrete around the goal posts so I can straighten them up and reset them in place.
Please contact me on 07976 273 799 or paul@leafieldathletic.co.uk

many thanks Paul

The club are pleased to announce the appointment of Chantel Hunter (pictured) as reserve team coach for season 2010/2011.  Having started as a player with the club nearly ten years ago, Chantel will combine her new role with the management of the under 12s.
A level 2 coach, Chantel has gained an immmense amount of coaching experience both here and in the USA aswell as acting as a coach mentor for Birmingham County FA.
'Having Chantel on board is a massive advantage for the club, her experience at junior level means that she knows a lot of the players and her coaching, enthusiasm and passion is infectious.' said first team manager Vince Gordon.
The club are now looking to appoint a reserve team manager to work within the senior setup and alongside Chantel.  A commitment to the development of young players, of which the reserve team will be made up of, aswell as availabilty on Sunday afternoons for all games throughout the season is required.  Informal enquiries to Dan Hearnden on 07956 858 158 or Vince Gordon on 07951 897 568 are welcome.  Letters of application should be sent to admin@leafieldathletic.com by Friday 11th June 2010.
